Goodies Speed Shop has just completed testing the Mustang GT Track/Race car. The car was based on a 2006 Ford Mustang GT with a 4.6L V8 that had been driven approximately 49,000 miles. The following modifications were made to get this car ready for the track:
- Custom 6 point roll cage
- DJ safety 5 point harnesses
- Corbeau seats(2)
- For Racing Suspension
- Ford Racing ABS module (GT500S/R)
- Ford Racing 3.73 Rear Gears
- Ford Racing Cold Air Intake
- Miller GT500S lightened wiring harness
- Moroso Radiator Catch Can
- VIS fiberglass hood
- Jongbloed racing wheels 18×10.5

- Hotchkis rear lower control arms
- Pace Setter Long Tube Headers
- Borla Crossover pipe
- Derale power steering cooler
- Rebuilt clutch and flywheel
- plus lots more …
- Racetech seat also available
- Hurst Short shifter available
This car is very close to a spec mustang seen at SCCA races. All it needs is:
- Rear Spoiler
- Be-Cool / Ford Racing Radiator (currently has stock radiator)
- Borla long tube headers (car has pacesetter long tubes connected to borla crossover)
- Rear Spolier
- Hood replacement (currently have VIS $400 fiberglass hood)
- Cortex suspension
It has a tune and generates 314HP and 320tq. The car generates 95db at full power recorded while driving between turn 5 and the bridge at Laguna Seca. At our last test at Laguna Seca, during a recent track day, we were able to do 1:44’s with old tires while lifting between turns 5 and 6 (the bridge). We believe with the Cortex suspension and new tires, this car should be very competitive at 1:39 – 1:42.
